Zentangle is a simple and enjoyable method for creating beautiful images through structured pattern drawing known as tangles.
Make tangles using combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves, and orbs. These basic shapes, known as "Elemental Strokes," form the foundation of Zentangle art.
Draw these patterns on small paper pieces called "tiles."
Zentangle was founded by Rick & Maria in Whitinsville, Massachusetts. You can get more details at their official website at - https://zentangle.com/pages/who-are-we

Zentangle - Eight Steps Method
1. Gratitude and Appreciation: Begin with a moment of gratitude for the creative process.
2. Corner Dots: Place a light pencil dot in each corner, about a pen's width from the edges. Now it’s no longer a blank piece of paper.
3. Border: Draw a border to create a defined space for your Zentangle by connecting dots with a light pencil line, straight or curvy.
4. String: Add a "string," which is a light pencil line that divides the space into sections.
5. Tangle: Fill each section with a different tangle, which is a repetitive, structured pattern. A tangle is a predefined sequence of simple strokes that make up a pattern.
6. Shade: Enhance your Zentangle by adding shading to create depth and dimension with graphite pencil and tortillon.
7. Initial and Sign(Chop): Sign and date your completed Zentangle to mark its creation. Sign your initials on the front, and consider creating a special monogram or chop if you'd like.
8. Appreciate: Take a moment to appreciate your finished artwork and the creative process.
